Hello grade 6/7s. You are all probably wondering, what is the Grade 6/7 Class Rant. First of all, this is a way to take our journal writing opinions to the world wide web and share with everyone in the class. We no longer have to raise our hands to read our writing in front of everyone. Just one post on this blog and everyone can share with the whole class. All students in our class will have a chance to rant their opinion to a posted question. Get ready to rant!

Do politicians in Canada or Canadian adults, really care about what young people think?
As young people do you ever feel like the adult world isn't paying attention to you? Right now there is a federal Canadian election campaign and there is a lot of politicians talking about a large number of issues. But, do these politicians care what you think? Respond in your opinion, giving examples and reasons, if you think these politicians care what young people think or if adults in our country care about what your opinion is?

I really dont think they care about what we kids think I think that they think were stupid little kids who dont no anything, they might say the care but if they really cared shouldnt we be ably to vote even if were not 18?

They do somewhat. I think we could still have alot more for kids physical activitie then what we have now. Likr an indoor skatepark for in the winter. Or maybe a reball arena all year around.

This is Luke MacDonald. I am a strong polictics follower abd being that, I know that adult politicians...especially Steven Harper, do not care about youth care or education! Most of the politicians at this moment are talking about hospitals and fueding between different sides. Where are children in this picture? They obviously don't care about what WE think... we should be allowed to vote! Adults aren't the only ones who get sick and have a right to take part in Canada's new government rules! We ARE citizens of Canada, even if we are only 11-13 years old! That leaves me wondering: Why don't we have a right to take part in the electation of our country's new caretaker?

Luke A MacDonald.
I dont think adults care about what kids think, because they think we aren't being serious.
ReplyDeleteWe should have the right to vote, because its our country, and if some one else changes our country we should deside if we want the change.

I think that adults and politicians are not listening to us enough. This is because kids can be annoying, and they might not want to listen to us. However, we are mature and good and we care about who is handeling our country.
ReplyDeleteBradley Guimond.
I think that adults should care more about youth issues, because if they make choices that will impact the children of this generation when we are older, it will be their fault, and we will not be able to do anything about it when the time comes.

Some very mature and thought out comments thus far. However, some of you may try writing some more detailed reasons for your comments and remember to edit for spelling and punctuation.
